RIGHT KIND OF PARTNER

It’s good to work hard on the new tango figures we’re learning because taking time to hone technique is important.

But when it comes to dancing with another human being, are we being attentive? Careful? Clear? Are we sensitive to our partner’s comfort/skill level? Are we cooperating, or yanking him/her around the dance floor?

Exceptional technique isn’t the main prerequisite for being an exceptional partner. Our attitude comes first, and may require as much practice as any new step.
