MAKE BIG PLANS

A big milonga.

A big festival (maybe our first).

A glamorous-looking dance floor filled with people we don’t know.

We enjoy tango and want to be better at it. But it scares us to take the next step, which would involve entering a new atmosphere like the one(s) mentioned above. Putting ourselves out there will reveal our tango flaws and imperfections in some form or another.

Do we retreat to what feels comfortable, or do we venture ahead?

When we teeter between “I want to do it” and “I’m scared to do it,” that’s when we know we really should do it. And yes, as a result, tango might never be the same for us again. Shouldn’t that be a good thing?
