Some figures are clearly meant to be more interesting than others. But no step, no matter how simple, is just a “filler” to be tolerated before the next visually appealing movement. Every weight transfer and step matters, and serves a purpose. Becoming proficient at the fancy stuff requires that we spend time perfecting the not-so-fancy stuff too.
