As we become more skilled with tango, we reflect on the hard work we’ve put into the dance. There were moments of self doubt, but we conquered them, and managed to improve.
It’s tempting to believe that we’ll someday eliminate those awful doubts altogether, if only we could reach a particular skill level.
That’s not going to happen.
In fact, the more we achieve with our tango, the more we’ll find ourselves facing newer nagging doubts. It’s unpleasant, but it’s a reality that comes with achievement. And the better we become, the louder those negative voices seem to shout inside our heads.
Just don’t forget that those voices are still wrong.
